Breanna Cook, RMT

Breanna graduated with honours as a member of Phi Theta Kappa from the Medicine Hat College massage therapy program in June of 2016, completing 2200 hours of theory and practice. Breanna’s journey to massage therapy started many years prior to that with a special interest in learning about the human body in school and a heart for helping others. After watching her grandpa struggle to rehabilitate from a farming injury and always wishing she could do more to help him in his recovery, she decided that massage therapy was the perfect fit for her!

Breanna is passionate about therapeutic massage and her goal is to help her patients achieve a pain-free lifestyle that allows them to do the things they love without limitation. Breanna has experience treating many conditions such as piriformis syndrome, plantar fasciitis, golfers/tennis elbow, and she also has a special interest in treating patients suffering from headaches and neck pain. She utilizes a variety of techniques in her treatments including trigger point therapy, MET stretching, myofascial release, and is trained in prenatal massage and TMJ treatments utilizing intraoral techniques. In addition, Breanna is certified in the SASTM technique; a therapy that uses instruments to aid in the removal of scar tissue and restrictive adhesions from the soft tissue.

Breanna has the privilege of teaching massage therapy classes to the second year students at a local massage school, and loves getting to share her knowledge and passion for massage with her students.

Originally from northern Alberta, Breanna has called Medicine Hat home for the last 8 years and loves the small city life. In her free time, she loves spending time with family and friends, and her favourite hobby is travelling! She loves exploring new places!
